I. Fixed Satellite Services

This system is ideally suited for communicating at high speed and high volume from a fixed location. Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) are used to connect to high speed networks via satellite. The primary application for this system is to connect to the internet. Our partners, Intelsat, Taide, Panamsat, New Skies and Idirect allow us to provide customized solutions that range from SOHO networks to Enterprise networks that span the globe and support many users. Indigo provides not just connectivity via satellite but our engineers are capable of building local area networks around the VSAT terminal to allow multiple user connectivity in the most efficient manner. And, with advent of cost effective VOIP technology, we are at the forefront in providing seamless Voice connectivity over the VSAT to terrestrial PSTN and Cellular networks using cutting edge VOIP technology

II. Mobile Satellite Services

This service is primarily responsible for providing communication solutions that operate via satellite, but are portable and work while individuals are on the move. Our technology partners for the provision of these services include Thuraya, Inmarsat, and Iridium, among others. Unlike our large competitors that have multiple levels of costs built into their price quotes, we have direct links with almost all the key satellite network operators, and this translates into very cost effective service charges for subscriptions obtained through Indigo Telecom.

Thuraya:

Indigo Telecom has the national service provider relationship for Thuraya in Kenya and the mandate to provide services on a global basis. Currently, our users operate in Afghanistan, Iraq, Congo, Angola, Sudan, Kenya and in dozens of countries around the globe. .

Inmarsat:

Inmarsat's services are provided by Indigo Telecom through an official Master Distribution channel. Its state of the art satellite network covers most of the globe's land and water mass and specializes in rugged marine-based communication systems and high speed data terminals for land based systems. Its Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) supports various terminals that allow portable voice and high speed data connections to be made from anywhere within the Inmarsat's satellite coverage area. Data speeds of up to 492Kbps can be achieved on the high end terminals as well as video streaming and ISDN links.

Iridium:

Iridium is the only satellite network that covers 86% of the world, including the poles. Although the terminals are quite large as compared to other mobile satellite terminals it still remains popular for voice and data communications from virtually anywhere in the world. Services are provided through an official Iridium service channel to ensure the Indigo's clients get the best service.

III. Value Added Services

Personal and Asset Security (Tracking)

When operating in distant remote and dangerous environments it is imperative to know where you are, or where your staff might be. Indigo Telecom provides innovative solutions that allow you to use existing systems to track your personnel as well as assets. Essentially, tracking should be considered part of an Integrated Security Management System that allows, through GPS technology, the ability to locate individuals and that allows action to be taken for their protection. Indigo Telecom has experience with various tracking capabilities. One such tracking system provided by Indigo Telecom allows software to be downloaded to most cell phones. A global license allows the creation of a Crisis Operations Center that can monitor the whereabouts of individuals every minute, or other timeframes that may be required, and can be viewed on a Crisis Center laptop which provides 24/7 tracking. It also allows, through proprietary SMS data application protection, the ability to delete data on a handheld cell phone. By "geo-fencing," individuals can be highlighted if they beyond their 'fence'.

Encryption

For communication that needs to remain secure, Indigo Telecom offers a range of add-on encryption products that ensures that no unintended recipient is able to understand your message. Encryption products are available for Thuraya voice, data as well as fax calls, and similar products are available for internet-based communication as well as radio communication. Indigo can also provide sensitive communications as well.

Voice Over Internet Protocol

VoIP allows a person to make telephone calls using a computer network over a data network like the Internet. VoIP converts the voice signal from the telephone into a digital signal that travels over the internet and then converts it back at the other end. Indigo Telecom's IP networks are easily scalable to include VoIP services. As a System Integrator that leverages technology and its partners to deliver innovative and effective solutions, we have the capacity to manage large projects with "upgrade paths" should needs increase. These paths may include buy back of redundant equipment, for example.

Video Conferencing

From free services, such as Skype, to expensive conferencing capabilities, Indigo Telecom is expert in recommending and implementing a solution for its clients. In many remote and dangerous areas of the world, such as in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, in-country leadership and administrative management might be centralized, but implementation may be decentralized. And, either as part of a consortia or as a Prime Contractor, USG contractors will want the capability to have video conferencing for both security and program reasons which will require constant communications among employees and between in-country staff and the USG. As communication becomes easier and cheaper it is true that GSM can now be used in many places that had, in the recent past, required satellite connectivity. Many organizations enter a country and purchase GSM prepaid sim cards for employees as a quick and easy way to create communications. In many cases, this is the right strategy, but it is equally true that many of the local markets where these phones and sim cards are sold are tied to a Provider whose reach is not strongest and whose costs can be high.
